It performs its job adequately for a reasonable price. However, it has its limitations. Future software updates offer some hope. Unfortunately, for true MIDI master functions, this is the only device in this price range. The biggest problem is the limited memory; extensions are quickly limited. Similarly, the use of samples is restricted. The outdated update system offers no direct USB access. There is very little visual feedback from settings (e.g., knob LEDs, sliders). Very limited DAW access; no user settings are possible. Positives: its price, and its very light weight. Once cleared out, the Fantom 0 can be a good tool for sound design and a stage keyboard. However, it is not suitable for those who prefer to stick to traditional sounds.
