Schaller Tremolo (black chrome)

Our many years of experience in the production of double-locking tremolos have gone into the development of this identical tremolo. Replaceable and hardened steel knife edges and cast steel string pads in combination with a solid tremolo block guarantee the best sound transmission and extremely long sustain. The radius of the tremolo is 12 inches, the radius of the saddle element is 10 inches for R2 and R3. This is related to the taper of the fingerboard and results in the most optimal playing behavior according to all experience so far. The 12" and 10" sizes are the most commonly used in the guitar world. They are fastened with special height adjustment screws (studs) and the matching drive-in nuts (inserts). These are provided with a fine thread. For special applications, we can also supply height adjustment screws with threads for direct screwing into the wooden body. In this case, the drive-in nut is omitted. You can pull out the knife edges with suitable pliers and push the new knife edges back into the slot.
