The e 865 is a fully professional super-cardioid vocal microphone utilising the very best in condenser microphone technology to achieve new standards of quality and sound. The microphone capsule insorporates special blast/pop protiction plate to shield the diaphragm from excessive sound pressure levels.

Das Sennheiser ersetzte ein rund 20-jähriges AKG-Kondenser Mic für Gesang. Im direkten vergleich ist das Sennheiser etwas weniger analytisch / linear als das AKG. Vom Charakter her liegt es irgendwo zwischen einem dynamischen und einem Kondenser-Mic, ist also gut geeignet, für Sänger, die an dynamische Mics (SM 58, die 'anderen' Sennheisers etc.) gewöhnt sind, trotzdem aber die Vorteile eines Kondensers (klarere Höhen, weniger schwammige Bässe) nicht missen wollen.

Sennheiser replaced a 20-year-old AKG condenser microphone for vocals. In direct comparison, the Sennheiser is slightly less analytical/linear than the AKG. In terms of character, it falls somewhere between a dynamic and a condenser microphone, making it suitable for singers who are accustomed to dynamic microphones (such as the SM 58 and other Sennheiser models), but still want to benefit from the advantages of a condenser microphone (clearer highs and less muddy bass).

The evolution vocal microphone series ensures full, rich sound that cuts through the mix. Available as condenser or dynamic models with a wide  range of pick-up patterns.
