The WA-47jr is the transformerless FET version of the WA47.
The WA-47-B-80v from the top model is used as the capsule. The discrete circuit of the WA-47jr uses high quality Toshiba FET’s, Wima film capacitors and Panasonic electrolytic capacitors.
This results in a harmonious overall package with which excellent sounding recordings of vocals, acoustic / electric guitars, acoustic / electric basses, drums, piano, strings and brass instruments can be made.

Great 2A optical compressor, considering the price. Very simple to use. I use it with bass and acoustic guitars. You need to adjust the VU meter quite often. Great alternative to way more expensive options like UA and other brands
This is a very good clone of the Urei 1176, and the sound quality is truly excellent, especially for the price. If you're on a tight budget, the Klark Teknik KT-76 is also a very good alternative, although I find that Warm Audio has a superior low-end compared to the KT.
