Active studio monitor, bi-amplified, 2-way, 95 watts (6.5").

This product is composed of the following parts

The combination of screws with a specially designed mounting ring eliminates annoying vibrations and resonances, allowing the speaker to unfold its full sonic potential. A specially selected magnet for this range enhances low frequency performance and provides an accurate, powerful low end. The tweeter drivers feature a precision-engineered "smooth-contour" design with no corners or edges to minimise sound dispersion losses, resulting in a detailed, remarkably accurate high-frequency response. The tweeter chassis has also been manufactured to be very solid, which counteracts the tendency for resonance to have a negative effect on the purity of the high frequencies. The advantages of active monitors with separate power amplifiers ("bi-amplification") Active monitor cabinets, each with two power amplifiers, simply make the most sense, both circuit-wise and sound-wise. That's why active systems with bi-amplification technology are the first choice of professional sound engineers worldwide for near- and midfield monitoring. In addition to the technical advantages, there is no need for separate external power amplifiers. Because the power amplifier and loudspeakers are hard-wired inside the cabinet, the amplifiers can be perfectly matched to the characteristics of the loudspeakers, ensuring consistent superior performance regardless of the signal source or environment. "Bi-amplification" means that two independent power amplifiers each individually power the woofer and tweeter. This prevents unwanted interactions between the speakers and eliminates phase and frequency problems caused by passive crossovers. Due to their optimal power output, both speaker systems together accordingly achieve a very high sound quality. Large magnets in sophisticated electromagnetic circuits You can hear, but not see, an important feature of the HS monitors. We mean the extra large magnets used inside. Combined with the speakers' advanced electromagnetic circuitry, these permanent magnets deliver a powerful, uniform, and solid magnetic field, providing exceptionally smooth reproduction with the highest possible dynamic range across the entire frequency range. Transportable and flexible monitoring for your audio workstation All you really need for top stereo production is a good audio workstation and a pair of HS series monitors. Not only is such a system transportable and very easy to set up, it also allows for precise monitoring for a successful mix. The HS50's "Response Control" feature, shown here in the example, allowed the frequency response to be adjusted for optimal playback, no matter where the system is located. Professional Surround Production Although 2-channel stereo is still the dominant format in music production, 5.1 surround audio has become not only the first choice for big movies, but also a superior-sounding drawcard for pure music enjoyment. But to mix surround correctly, you need a good 5.1 monitor system. The speakers of the HS series plus HS subwoofers are recommended for such setups, because they are absolutely competitive even in a 5.1 system without costing as much as a small car. If you combine five active HS50 or HS80 nearfield monitors with one or more HS10W subwoofers, you are sufficiently equipped to create a professional "State Of The Art" surround sound. Optimum reproduction in any room The frequency response of the signal reaching your ears from the loudspeaker depends largely on the size and shape of the room, the surface texture of its walls, and how the speakers are positioned. Thanks to the ROOM-CONTROL, MID EQ and HIGH TRIM switches, the HS50M and HS80M systems have a special room adjustment feature that allows them to be positioned very flexibly in the room. This compensates for acoustic problems in the room, thus enabling optimized listening. The ROOM-CONTROL switch, for example, can counteract the problematic bass boost caused by the pressure build-up effect that occurs when the speakers are placed against walls or in corners. The MID EQ switch can either slightly boost or cut the midrange of the signal, while the HIGH TRIM switch handles the high frequencies in the same way.

Usage : directly connected to a sinthesizer (Kurzweil K1200 Pro. Old but great stuff), mostly with Grand Piano sound. Provides an extremely clean sound.
