Intuitive handling with TouchFlow, easy operation, including practical presets

With the TF series, Yamaha has now developed a digital mixing console that gives the user more freedom than ever before to be intuition and creative. The TouchFlow operation, newly introduced for the console series, allows the mixing engineer to react to music and artists with incredible speed and many options, which makes their work much easier and ultimately also greatly benefits the quality of the sound. Thanks to TouchFlow operation, which is based on a touch panel, it is easier than ever for both experienced sound engineers and newcomers to the industry to create a professional mix. The recallable D-PRE preamplifiers deliver a sound quality that can withstand even the most sensitive ears of the most renowned sound engineers. Together with the pioneering live recording functions and the seamless integration of powerful input/output modules, these compact mixers offer enormous possibilities and make them the first choice for a wide variety of tasks. Explore the unprecedented intuitive operation and creative freedom that only a state-of-the-art Yamaha digital console can deliver. When developing digital consoles, Yamaha has always paid great attention to the opinions of the world's leading sound engineers to ensure that working at the console is as effective and intuitive as possible. Achievements such as "Selected Channel" operation or the Centralogic user interface show that this approach was the right one. The TF series combines Yamaha's unparalleled know-how with the latest feedback from the industry and the latest touchscreen technology, which greatly benefits the operation of the consoles. Even setting up the mixers is a smooth process: numerous practical presets and mixing scenes, a refined design and software applications that integrate seamlessly into the system make the process easier. All of these details together form TouchFlow, a new concept for mixer operation that ensures unprecedented comfort even with more compact consoles, which keeps you clear even when performing more difficult tasks. Reliable level adjustment thanks to the "GainFinder" The input signal first passes the "gain" stage, where the input sensitivity of the preamplifier is adjusted. If the preamplifier is set incorrectly, not only does the sound quality deteriorate, but the parameters behind the input stage also have a different effect on the signal. Yamaha has now found a way to make this important basic parameter easier than ever to adjust. With the new GainFinder function, the individual signals can be perfectly leveled so that optimum signal quality is always achieved. The user only needs to adjust the respective channel gain until the green light in the middle of the level display lights up continuously for as long as possible. Of course, the level displays also work as usual if you prefer to level the preamplifiers in the tried and tested way. Professional sound: the QuickPro presets After intensive collaboration with renowned sound engineers, microphone manufacturers such as Audio-Technica, Sennheiser and Shure, as well as after extensive tests with numerous microphones, musical instruments, loudspeakers and in-ear monitor systems, Yamaha's development team concentrated on creating typical starting points that are recommended for use at many different types of events. Equipped with these practical presets, even beginners can get very close to the ideal sound, while more experienced colleagues will appreciate the fact that they no longer have to make many adjustments thanks to the sensible starting points and can therefore gain additional time for other tasks. These "QuickPro presets" are sorted by instrument type and can be called up immediately at any time. Parameters for the "HA", "EQ" and "Comp" modules as well as other settings such as channel naming and channel color were saved with the presets. The "1-knob" processors "EQ" and "COMP" were also integrated into the QuickPro presets, making sound adjustment even faster and easier. Parameter sets optimized for Yamaha's active speakers have been saved in the output channel library. There are various variations, each adapted to different environments and room sizes. Presets have also been programmed for in-ear monitors. All of these settings can be used immediately if time is short. Otherwise, they offer excellent starting points for fine-tuning yourself. All of your own settings can of course be saved in the other memory locations. 17 x motorized controls (16 channels, 1 master) Input channels: 40 (32 x mono, 2 x stereo, 2 x returns) Aux bus: 20 (8 x mono, 6 x stereo, 1 x sub) 8 x DCA groups with roll-out 16 x analog XLR/TRS combination mic/line inputs + 2 analog RCA stereo line inputs 16 x analog XLR outputs 34 x 34 digital record/playback channels via USB 2.0 + 2 x 2 via USB storage device 1 expansion slot for NY64-D audio interface card
