MOTU is a leading US manufacturer of computer-based audio and video production hardware and software. The company was founded in 1980 and is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts near Boston. Inspired by the first Macintosh computers, MOTU engineers developed one of the very first music programs. Performer® was released in 1985 and has long been the industry standard for MIDI sequencers. MOTU products are used worldwide by musicians, producers, broadcast stations, video studios, game design companies, etc.
