Behringer was found in 1989 by a Swiss engineer Uli Behringer, the musician couldn't find the products he was looking for, so he decided to create his own. Currently, the product range includes synthesizers, mixers, audio interfaces, PA systems, amplifiers and  much more. The company is recognized for offering affordable and cost-effective alternatives to many high-end audio equipment brands. This approach has made their products widely used by musicians, recording studios, live sound engineers, and music enthusiasts.

Das Mikrofon XM8500 klingt richtig gut, wobei es die tieferen Frequenzen gegenüber einem SM58 etwas stärker betont.
Handling-Geräusche überträgt es in ähnlichem Rahmen wie die Günstiglinien der teuren Marken. Das heisst, Rumpelgeräusche entstehen vor allem bei der Entnahme und des Zurücksteckens auf den Mik-Ständer. Ein Handwechsel und eine geräuschlose Gesangsperformance (Mik in der Hand) benötigen etwas mehr 'Mikrofon-Disziplin' als mit einem SM58, gelingt aber auch Laien. Wegen der Handgeräusche hier nur 4 von 5 Punkten.
Das XM8500 ist aus einer Leichtmetallgusslegierung und liegt ähnllich wie ein SM58 in der Hand.

Im Auslieferungszustand hatten die XM8500 meiner Serie zwei Stolperfallen:
1) Der Mikrofonschutzkorb und der Mikrofonschaft waren nur lose verschraubt (Transportvibrationen?). Dadurch erzeugten sie beim Soundcheck typische Wackelkontaktgeräusche in den Lautsprechern (wegen sich verändernden Masseverbindungen im losen Gewinde). Nachdem ich aber die Gewinde von Hand recht angezogen habe, verschwanden die Wackelkontaktgeräusche.
2) Die Mikrofonadapter für den Mikständer waren im Neuzustand äusserst eng. Ein normales oder gar sanftes Entnehmen und Zurückstecken gelang deshalb (noch) nicht. Deshalb belasse ich nun die Miks auf ihren Adaptern und lagere sie so ein, in der Hoffnung, dass die Adapter bis zum nächsten Einsatz etwas ausgeweitet werden.

Behringer XM8500, eine brauchbare Alternative

There is not much to say or write. For under 20 CHF this microphone provides a very decent sound. So, when I had to decide to buy 4 Shure SM58 or 4 Behringer XM8500 for a small band doing small live gigs in pubs, I did not have to think for too long. The mics come in a plastic box which is fine for me. And if I ever smash or break one of these I still have a spare mic without breaking the bank.

Einfach ein tolles Anfänger Mikrofon. Genial mit der Verstärkungs Box. Klingt super. Wir sind sehr zufrieden! 

Genial für Anfänger

Achtung: Das Mikrofon ist schwarz und besitzt den Namen Berhinger Ultravoice xm8500...
Es ist uuunnfassbar, was aus diesem Teil rauskommt. Es bracuht zwar ordentlichen Gain aber trotzdem ist es sehr rauscharm und vorallem hält es seinen sehr kleinen Nierencharakteristig Sprechbereich ein. D.h. man hört nicht wenn jemand 3m hinter einem niessen muss(getestet). Es hat einen ordentlichen Bass und ausgeglichene Mitten. Bei den höhen muss manim Interface etwas nachhelfen aber edas ist echt kein problem. Der 2-schichtige Windschutz, der eingebaut ist, bringt auch schon ziehmlich viel, jedoch sollte man auf jedenfall einen Pop-Schutz dazu kaufen, falls man keinen Vorhanden hat. Dieses Mikrofon ist für seinen Preis überragend, und kann mit meinem Studiomikrofon mithalte. Kann ich aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen!!!!!!

Gut und günstig

Für das bischen Geld ein absolutes Top-Mikrofon. Zugegeben, ich bin kein Fan von Behringer, aber auf der Suche nach Miks für 'besondere' Anlässe wo meine teuren Miks von Shure und Co zu teuer sind bin ich eben auf diese Mikrofone gestossen. Im Sound, je nach Anlage dem Shure SM56B fast ebenbürtig. Was soll ich Sagen; für die par Franken ein ausgewachsenes Mikrofon im Hartschalenkoffer, das mehr als nur brauchbar ist. 

Absolut Top für den Preis...
