Reverend Guitars began quietly, in a garage behind a bicycle shop in East Detroit in 1997. Joe Naylor drew upon his years of study in Industrial Design, Lutherie School, and professional vintage guitar repair to create the first Reverend Guitar. It was unusual in its design, but what impressed most people was the attention to detail that Joe put into the instrument.

The brand has now grown to encompass a global presence and has garnered the attention of rock stars, working musicians, journalists, and kingmakers from all across the industry. Reverend offers many shapes and styles of guitars and basses, but the one thing that remains the same is the professional quality that's available for everyone - whether you're selling out amphitheaters or playing in your living room.

Currently based in Toledo, Ohio, Reverend is run by Ken and Penny Haas. All of the guitars are expertly designed by Joe Naylor, proudly manufactured in South Korea by boutique guitar manufacturer Mirr Music, and meticulously set up by our tech team - lead by Zach Green who initials each one before it goes out the door.

From the well-known to the unknown, players of all stripes are impressed because Reverend pays attention to what makes an instrument the kind of instrument players want to play. And that, by the way, is where Reverend's attention will always lie.

Ich ließ mir ab der 2. Jahreshälfte 2020 eine Gitarre bauen mit einem (modifizierten) Bigsby B-70 (Linus 'Red Scorpion'). Ausgeliefert wurde sie Anfang Februar 2021. Auch bei ruppigem Vibratogebrauch war sie verstimmungsfrei, aber das Bigsby war sehr straff. Wie beim Abzug einer Waffe, musste aber erst ein gewisser Druckpunkt erreicht und dann überwunden werden. Dennoch beließ ich es erstmal so. In einem deutschsprachigen Musikerforum fragte ein Forist nach der Bezugsquelle für Reverend Soft Touch Springs. Ein von ihm recherchierter Laden würde sie zwar grundsätzlich im Sortiment führen, aber nicht vorrätig haben. 
Weil ich Besitzer einer Reverend Gitarre bin, ist mir MusiX bekannt gewesen. Beim Surfen durch den Webshop war mir seinerzeit auch diese Bigsby-Feder im Augenwinkel in Erinnerung geblieben. Kurz vor meiner Antwort im Forum prüfte ich also meine Erinnerung, konnte verifizieren und empfehlen, alternativ bei MusiX diese Feder zu kaufen. 
Ich selber bestellte sie mir auch gleich. 
Nach Eintreffen der Ware, entspannte ich die Saiten meiner Linus, wechselte die Feder, stimmte die Gitarre. 
Nun verlangt das Vibrieren keine 'Suche nach dem Druckpunkt', das Bigsby spricht ohne Verzug sensibel an. Meinem Gitarrenbauer gab ich diese Information auch umgehend weiter, damit er auf zukünftigen Gitarren mit Bigsby gleich die Reverend Soft Touch Spring verwendet, statt die harte Originalfeder. Auch meinen Linusfreunden, die ein Bigsby auf ihrer Gitarre haben, gab ich diesen Tipp. Der ein oder andere hatte schon sehnsüchtig eine deratig einfache Lösung gesucht. 
Kurzum: Die Reverend Soft Touch Spring ist ein Must-have für Bigsbyspieler. Und mit bummelig 10 EUR macht diese Optimierung keinen arm.

Molla morbida per tremolo tipo Bigsby, moto utile per i miei scopi.

Es gibt auf dem Markt günstige Kopien von Bigsby Tremolos. Die erfüllen ihren Zweck, fühlen sich aber im Vergleich zu den original Bigsby Tremolos ziemlich steiff an. Es gibt sicher Leute, die das mögen. Wer jedoch das Gefühl hat, er/sie müsste so stark auf den Hebel drücken, dass die Gitarre dabei Schaden nimmt, dem kann ich die Reverend Guitars Feder nur empfehlen. Die Feder passte bei mir einwandfrei und das Tremolo fühlt sich nun an wie ein original Bigsby. Von der Stimmstabilität konnte ich keinen Unterschied zur vorherigen härteren Feder feststellen.
