Let's address the construction first. The EVO series are made from plastic and not metal. I've owned three Focusrite Scarlett series interfaces and these were made of metal. But, really, I've never needed the protection or ruggedness of metal - so the EVO 8's build material shouldn't ever be a problem for me. 
thereafter, it's really easy - the features, the relatively low latency drivers, the EVO Software app - these are all excellent and, at this price point, put the EVO 8 at the top of any short list for consideration.
The audio quality sounds very, very clean - I've only used the unit for a few weeks, but so far, so good. 
One minor caveat - be sure of your USB-C power and cabling - if you don't provide enough power, the EVO 8 cannot deliver phantom power to all four microphone preamps - so do your homework, and get the cabling right.
Happy to have purchased this.

Great audio, drivers, features

L evo 8 a des bugs
parfois il ne  transmets pas le son alors que sur le logiciel ça semble marcher ( les curseurs s'activent)
Il faut donc rester vigilant et dans ces cas là c'est assez aléatoire comment le faire remarcher. tout débrancher ou toucher les curseurs volumes sur le software ou quitter l'appli.
Parfois aussi  les entrées ne sont pas activent (reconnues) du tout ni sur le hardware ni sur le software...
(j'utilise un casque audiotechnica avec micro intégré)

Pour faire du minus mix il faut passer par le software  ( artist mix), pas possible juste avec le hardware

Le point positif c'est qu'il garde en mémoire la configuration de dernière utilisation ( en tout cas pour  le même utilisateur)

Bug evo 8

Très bonne interface. Son neutre sans bruit de fond, préamplis de qualité.
L'interfaçage avec le PC est excellent. Le bouton de volume de la carte pilote directement le volume interne du PC, ce qui évite d'avoir un volume PC et un volume de la carte. L'auto-gain est pratique sans être indispensable. Le volume direct est assez bien avec une balance entre volume direct et volume depuis le PC, mais parfois ce n'est pas très pratique et il faut fair plusieurs manipulations pour avoir les réglages que l'on veut.
Manque peut-être des xlr en sortie, mais il y a des jacks symétriques, donc c'est suffisant. 

Excellente interface en symbiose avec le PC
