For anyone who loves John Mayer's sound and wants to replicate it for specific songs, the Q-Tron is perfect. It works well for everything from funk to blues, and even neo-soul and jazz can be taken to a new level with this compact device. It's a great pedal! It's also very versatile, allowing you to go from very vocal to subtly warm tones. I personally find the Low Pass or Mix settings to be the most useful. I finally got to test the Q-Tron after years of wanting one, even though I'm usually more of a wah-pedal type of player... and boom, there it was – the sound I was looking for. :-) Perhaps the only downside for some is that there's always a slight volume boost, even when the boost is turned off, but on the other hand, you do want to hear the effect.
