I bought this DSP for a small portable and battery powered pedal board and I am very satisifed with it. Operation is easy and intuitive once I got the hang of it. The small display does not bother me, as I can always use the app on my PC or Android (with WIDI Jack I compensate the missing Bluetooth MIDI functionality). In my opinion: less power consumption with a smaller display anyway ... The advertisement states the use of xyz effects at the same time. But there is certainly a catch - not everything can be used at the same time. There is a good KB article on the Boss web site that explains the limitations. The MAIN and SUB outputs are a bit awkward. First, MONO is R(ight) and not L(eft). And the L is also used as a headphones output (with TRS, whereas the rest is TS), so you cannot use them at the same time. The looper could be better. So I actually got myself a separate looper connected into one of the FX loops. I actually only use the looper when I try to adjust/play around with some sound/effects. I find the possibility to record DRY and do some re-amping/re-recording with different effects very useful. Supporting only an input for CTL1,2 or EXP1 is a limitation, but understandable due to its size. MIDI to the rescue. In general the sockets on the back are quite narrow. With larger connectors (e.g. Neutrik 1/4' TS to female XLR) it gets quite crowded and impossible to connect everything at the same time. I especially like the option of multiple delays in panned in parallel. But there are many other features I really like as well. So that remark might be a misleading (I did not buy it because of the delays). For that huge amount of functionality I find the box relatively cheap. And much preferrable over the 'full' GT-1000 (which for example has a pedal that I could still connect to the GT-1000core if I wanted). Hope my quick 'review' made sense. I would definitely buy it again - and I did so for another pedal board.
