Korg microKORG 2 (metallic white)

Only a few synthesizers can boast the same legendary status as the original microKORG, which was first introduced in 2002 and is still very popular around the world today. The combination of a powerful virtual analog synthesis engine, an integrated vocoder, a compact form factor and optional battery operation helped the small synthesizer achieve its cult status in record time. With the new microKORG, KORG has brought this successful concept into the present day and equipped the new interpretation of the classic with contemporary features without sacrificing its original core qualities. Despite the modernized design, the compact form factor, the easy-to-play mini keyboard with 37 velocity-sensitive keys, the simple program category selection via a rotary control and the integrated vocoder with matching microphone are still part of the instrument. What is new, however, is the 2.8" LCD color display, which provides an optimal overview, shows parameter changes graphically and can also be used as an oscilloscope if desired, which makes the currently generated waveform visible. A newly developed voice processor offers a harmonizer and hard tuning function for contemporary pitch correction effects in addition to the obligatory vocoder and can be used via the high-quality gooseneck microphone. The loop recorder, which is also new, invites you to create extensive jams with looping and overdubbing. In conjunction with the on-board arpeggiator, particularly interesting sound textures can be created. The polyphony of the new microKORG has also been practically doubled to 8 voices, which is particularly useful in dual mode when two timbres are to be used simultaneously. Three independently switchable effect blocks provide a large selection of different modulation, reverb and delay effects. Of course, the new microKORG can also be operated with batteries if desired, making it a more than worthy successor to its legendary forefather.
