The Roland V-Drums are the only professional alternative for drummers living in multi-family homes, as acoustic drums are often too loud. With the Noise Eater series, you can further optimize this situation and ensure even less background noise. Roland's innovative Noise Eater series is a useful aid for dampening footfall noise and vibrations that occur when a foot pedal is depressed. This allows you to reduce the playing noise of the already quiet Roland V-Drums equipped with mesh head pads even more and protect the rooms on the lower floors from footfall noise and vibrations transmitted via the floor.
Roland has carried out extensive tests and determined that when the Noise Eater series is also used, the volume of directly transmitted footfall noise and vibrations is reduced by around 75 percent. This feature makes it possible to play the V-drums at home even at unusual times (e.g. at night) without disturbing people in neighboring rooms or other apartments.
The NE-1 Noise Eater is a special rubber foot that offers the possibility to dampen the vibrations transmitted via the stand feet. Ideally, use several NE-1s in combination with an NE-10 Noise Eater. When using a Roland KD-140/KD-120 V-Kick or a hi-hat stand with a Roland VH-13/VH-11 V-Hi-Hat, place the NE-10 plate underneath the pedal and place an NE-1 under each foot of the stands.
