With the wide variety of strings available to a guitarist, the only option is to experiment. I have tried several different types of strings, and I usually found something to criticize. However, I was personally impressed with these "Made in California" strings. Hopefully, they will be available for a long time, then I can finally stop searching! They are primarily designed for a heavier tone, but they are also unbeatable for very soft tones and especially melodic solos. (When used with EMG pickups). The packaging is also designed for durability. The strings feel like a dream to play. They are also very easy to tune (the low E string is particularly great), and they are very quickly broken in, making them ideal for the studio and stage. However, they are sensitive to temperature, so playing them while warm is definitely recommended, but then they sound truly professional for hours. And for amateur musicians, of course, for days – and even weeks. However, for professionals, I would recommend setting up the great sound for each studio session. It's worth it!
