So it doesn't matter what kind of music you are in today - this amp is also suitable for the style of tomorrow, because it not only offers excellent sound quality, but also the full programmability of all controls (except for the master volume) and switching functions. Equipped with the most popular digital effects and with the option of controlling these sounds via an external, programmable foot switch, this combo also appeals to professionals who are looking for a small, inexpensive, extremely versatile studio combo.
The MG30GFX has four independent, analog sound channels, which can be optimally adapted to each other due to the possibility of freely programming all parameters. The four channels of these amplifiers are each controlled with the same controls, so that the user interface of the amps remains extremely simple, intuitive and clear. For Clean, Crunch, OD1 and OD2, the tone controls still work in their own frequency range, so that completely independent and mutually independent basic analog sounds form the basis of their sounds. If the amplifier is in preset mode, all settings for each channel are saved separately so that the last setting for the channel including the associated effects is retained (channel memory). In manual mode, on the other hand, you can switch between the individual channels with the currently set settings. The Direct Sound Access Feature enables both modes to have direct access to the current sounds at any time.
Of course, the master volume can still be regulated in the classic way in order to be able to adapt the pre-programmed sounds for all occasions with direct access, and then not accidentally change the volume again every time you switch ...
Interested parties should not be fooled by the simple and intuitive user interface! The digital effects of the MG30GFX set a standard for sound quality in the field of guitar effects - the sound quality of the chorus, phaser, flanger, octaver & delay effects does not need to shy away from comparison with the latest high-quality studio equipment. An example of this is the intelligent delay adjustment, which allows the echo to fade away when switching to a channel without delay, fades the delay level when switching to a sound with the same delay time and directly controls the new delay setting when switching to a channel with a different delay time. Such an adjustment is also integrated for the separately controllable reverb. In this way, the sound always remains harmonious. The delay time itself is saved by the tap function and displayed by an LED.
The freely programmable 4-way MG foot switch is available as an optional accessory for the MG30GFX, with which any switching functions of the front panel of the amp can be copied or, if necessary, complete presets with all parameters of the amplifier including channel volume (of course without master volume) can be called up. Marshall has already patented this feature for the JVM foot switches. The connection of the foot switch via a simple mono jack cable and its battery-free power supply directly from the amplifier was taken over by the top models of the Marshall range. A chromatic tuner (reference 440Hz) has also been integrated into the MG foot switch MRPEDL90008, which can be selected, including muting, both from the front panel and via the foot switch, if required.
