Well... John Bonham of Led Zeppelin played these heads, and I was therefore inspired by his gear setup. I'm not a particularly skilled drummer, and Bonham remains unattainable to me in many ways: his groove and sound are simply outstanding. That's why I bought this head, especially because he's my inspiration. Although I also play a metal snare, I couldn't get a good sound from the Remo Emperor Coated 14'. Furthermore, the skin wore out very quickly. After much disappointment due to recommendations from other drummers, I tested the Evans heads... Sorry, Remo, but I have to stick with my choice...
