Looking for a serious 1/1 scale guitar for my 11 year old nephew (1.35m tall) as he is joining a jam band, we opted for the EvH Wolfgang Standard. 
He use to play a 3/4 scale and is ready for the next step. After trying another guitar with shorter scale (epiphone SG) he really enjoyed the Wolfgang, perfect for his small stature, a full size scale compact guitar designed by the master himself (not only a musical genius, a guitar designer wonder). Easy reach of the lower frets, comfy playability sitting and standing, what else ?
Very comfortable neck, even for small hands, compact format of the whole design and very well thought contoured body to match also smaller player, lightweighted, I would really recommend this guitar also for kids 10 and above, a one-off investment for life.
And the pickups roar like a lion.
