The visionary spirit of Koichi Kawai, our founder, laid an ambitious foundation stone and is the main reason why the name Kawai has been synonymous with innovation since 1927. These include aluminium action parts, slow-closing keyboards, specially hardened music stands and of course the revolutionary use of ABS carbon for keyboard action.


The passion for innovation also applies to electronic musical instruments. Kawai produced the first digital piano with keys made entirely of wood - as well as the first keyboard that was a true replica of a grand piano action, the first integrated CD recorder and the first digital piano with a real wood soundboard as a speaker replacement.


In this never-ending development we see our challenge according to our motto - the future of the piano.

Postiv: Ein günstiges Einsteigermodell mit 88 gewichteten Tasten. Die Soundqualität ist sehr gut, könnte aber über Kopfhöreranschluss etwas lauter sein (ich habe einen Kopfhörerverstärker angeschlossen). Das Piano ist leicht und handlich. Die Verarbeitung ist solide, wenn auch nicht high-end. Bluetooth Midi hat mit dem iPad einwandfrei funktioniert.
Negativ: Die Bedienung ohne Display ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Die einzelnen Funktionen sind über die Pianotastatur aufrufbar. Der Notenständer ist zwar für dicke Notenbücher ausgelegt, macht aber einen etwas wackligen Eindruck. Die Notenbücher für die integrierten Lernstücke müssen dazu gekauft werden.
