Hagstrom

Hagström used to be a Swedish manufacturer of musical instruments. The company first distinguished itself in the production of accordions, then, from 1958 onwards, gradually moved into the manufacturing of electric guitars, an activity in which it became one of Europe's leading makers, and also one of the most innovative. From mass production in the 1960's, it evolved towards high quality manufacturing in the 1970's before having to cease its activity in 1983. The brand was re-launched in 2006 in North America at the initiative of the Canadian firm American Music & Sound (AMS), and markets guitars and basses now made in China.
