The MXR Six Band EQ has been upgraded with noise-reduction circuitry, true bypass switching, brighter LEDs for increased visibility, and a lightweight aluminum housing. This pedal deserves more attention. I used it not only to color my sound , but also as boost. It's a very versatile pedal. I feel like every time I turn it on , my sound gets better. Very much recommended. Only feature that it lacks is an output volume pot/slider. That would have been the cherry on the pie.
If the desired sound is ever too dull, muddy, or simply doesn't appeal to you, the M109S can be used as a volume booster, but only up to a certain level. It works best with moderate gain settings. The stylish design and easily readable, illuminated controls complete the overall experience. The price is reasonable for the results.
