The MS-2 is the ultimate in miniamps. It is powered by a battery or mains and in its small housing, which measures just 14 x 11 x 6 cm, lurks real, full Marshall sound. This little "sound miracle" can be switched to clean and overdrive mode and has a tone control with an extreme bandwidth. There is also a headphone jack that can also be used to control an external power amplifier - a popular stage gimmick! The MS-2 is available in three versions: The standard MS-2 comes in classic Marshall black, with a white logo and gold front panel; the MS-2R in red; in the MS-2C the C stands for Classic - elegant original vintage design with checked mesh and Marshall logo in gold.

Bei mir hängt er an der Wand im Moment als Fanartikel. Sollte es aber zu einer Energiekrise kommen, kommt er zum Einsatz. Jedoch funktioniert er Clean und Overdrive erstaunlich gut. Bei Batteriebetrieb ohne Brummen vom Netzteil, das wahrscheinlich die Ursache ist. Jedoch für ein Netzteil mehr auszugeben als für den Amp?

Funktionert

Ursprünglich hatte ich einen batteriebetriebenen Mini-Verstärker mit eingebautem Looper gesucht um via IK Multimedia iRig mit meiner spanischen Gitarre etwas mit mir selber jammen zu können, und das z.B. auch mobil an einem Grillabend - doch scheint es sowas nicht zu geben. Ich bin dann beim Marshall MS-2 gelandet und brauche zum loopen einen Bodentreter (Boss RC-1). Und es ist erstaunlich wie authentisch dieser winzige federleichte Batterieverstärker den Sound der Klassikgitarre rüberbringt! Praktisch original! Hätte ich NIE erwartet. Habe den Amp auch mit einer Fender Strat im Overdrive-Modus angespielt - und hoppa, was für ein Schub und Sound! Die Verzerrung tönt praktisch so gut wie bei den grossen Amps! Wirklich erstaunlich! Ist einer der besten Käufe die ich je gemacht habe. So klein und praktisch. Höchste Empfehlung!

Es gint nur einen kleine. negativen Punkt, und der ist dass das Betteriefach so eng ist dass man die 9V-Blockbatterie fast nicht reinbringt. Ich verstehe ja dass da nichts vibrieren und klappern darf, aber es ist trotzdem viel zu knapp bemessen. Geht aber grad noch knapp mit viel Gemurkse.
