Two EL34 power amp tubes complement the three 12AX7 preamp tubes found in the Bassman. The unusual configuration also includes a flying channel change via the "Both" input for rich crunch and crisp attack. In addition, the "Normal" and "Bright" inputs are available, as well as the traditional tone controls, which can be used to create the popular, timeless Fender sound. The Output knob finely differentiates from 1 to 45 watts. This allows the full, rocking sound of the Bassbreaker 45 Head to be tamed in a well-dosed manner and balanced even at quieter settings without loss of gain or bass. The 4-8-16 ohm output switch makes it compatible with almost any speaker. Of course, it harmonizes best with the Bassbreaker BB-212 cabinet. Visually, the Bassbreaker 45 Head also impresses on stage: dark lacquered tweed, black covering, white control lighting and the imposing Fender logo in the middle.
