KAOSS Replay allows you to indulge in inspiration without any distractions - a dream come true for live musicians! Thanks to its comprehensive connection section and the ability to be powered via USB-C, KAOSS REPLAY also enables easy and quick setup and dismantling regardless of the location, which guarantees relaxed performances without the typical problems of larger setups with different devices. The most noticeable difference to its predecessors is its advanced sampling and playback functions, each offering 128 sample slots (16 pads x 8 banks) for up to 100 different projects. So nothing stands in the way of hours of live sets with the typical KAOSS factor! With its robust aluminum housing in an elegant yet minimalist design, the KAOSS Replay achieves the perfect balance between performance-friendly dimensions and limitless mobility.
Unique KAOSS effects
KAOSS Replay builds on the unique legacy of the KAOSS series and delivers a comprehensive range of 128 new KAOSS effects. These cover a spectrum from essential filters, delays and reverbs to crazy modulation, looper, vocoder and synthesizer effects. In addition, for the first time in the history of the KAOSS series, the KAOSS Replay is equipped with dedicated vocal effects that are suitable for a variety of different genres, ranging from subtle pitch corrections to precise pitch tuning. These effects can also be easily automated using the PAD MOTION function or set to a fixed value in TOUCH HOLD mode. In addition, the FX Release function ensures smooth transitions if desired by allowing the effects to fade out seamlessly. A dedicated microphone input skilfully rounds off the extensive overall package of the KAOSS Replay , which enables both spontaneous improvisations and well-planned sets with numerous creative effects.
More than just effects
With its 16 high-quality, velocity-sensitive pads, the KAOSS Replay makes playing, sampling and resampling processes extremely easy. For this purpose, it provides up to 128 slots in 8 banks per project, whereby up to 100 such projects can be saved on a microSD card. The clear advantage: If the memory capacity of the card is no longer sufficient, it can be exchanged for another one immediately and without much effort. As if that weren't enough, the KAOSS Replay offers a comprehensive toolkit for a seamless performance experience with its system of two assignable groups, each with its own fader, BPM detection as well as sync and quantization functions. Additionally, the integrated sample trim function combined with the 12-point hot cue triggering system opens up a whole world of dynamic possibilities where samples can actually be “played” live and creatively manipulated in real time.
