Laney was founded in 1967 by Lyndon Laney near Birmingham. He had played in a band together with Robert Plant & John Bonham. At that time, there were no amplifiers that were loud enough, so Lyndon decided to develop and build his own amplifiers. Word quickly spread and demand was high. This was the beginning of Laney Amplification.
The Black Country Custom Amps (BCC) are designed and manufactured in the U.K. in the "Black Country" region near Birmingham, just as they were back then. Laney is still a family-run company which is managed by James Laney.

The Laney Lionheart L5-Studio offers the popular single-ended Class-A sound including a USB interface to the digital world. The small top not only has special features such as a USB out or re-amping send, but also features such as a balanced DI out including speaker emulation; an adjustable headphone output (6.3mm) and a mini-jack AUX input (3.5mm). In combination with the LT112 Cabinet, the Laney L5-Studio Lionheart is an excellent small stack.

Ich bin hellbegeistert von diesem kleinen Stack. Klingt richtig gut und ist geladen mit vielen Funktionen. Die 5 Watt klingen nach wenig Leistung, der Amp ist aber ausreichend laut. Bei uns geht die Gitarre über die PA; auch hierfür hat Laney eine direkte Verbindung an Bord. Tolles Gerät zu einem vernünftigen Preis.

I'm really impressed with this little amp. It sounds great and is packed with features. The 5 watts might sound like little power, but the amp is more than loud enough. We use it with a PA system; Laney has also included a direct output for this purpose. A great piece of equipment at a reasonable price.
