MOOER is known for making extremely versatile multi-effects pedals, but its latest product announcement, the Prime Stomp S1, isn't just a multi-effects pedal. At first glance, guitarists will be impressed by the 126 internal guitar effects and sound presets, which can be edited, shared and downloaded via the MOOER cloud platform, allowing for unlimited sonic flexibility. However, these capabilities come into their own when combined with the pedal's recording capabilities. This includes a looper module that allows up to 80 seconds of looping while also providing real-time playback, loop deletion and overdubbing capabilities. Loops and arrangements can also be recorded directly on a mobile phone or tablet via a USB/OTG cable. Combined with the pedal's 40 synchronizable drum machines, 10 metronomes and tuner, these looping and recording features allow guitarists to create complete musical arrangements within a single, unified pedalboard without the need for studio equipment. All functions can be controlled with four simple foot switches, ensuring an effective and minimalist user experience. While MOOER offers several pedalboards with similar functionality, the Prime Stomp S1 stands out for its focus on portability. It is not powered by a power supply, but only by an integrated lithium battery. This battery charges via a USB-C port, allowing users to charge the pedal with a portable power bank, laptop, or regular USB-C charger. The device also weighs only 350 g and can therefore be easily transported in a backpack. Although aimed primarily at traveling musicians, the Prime Stomp 1 still includes industry-standard pedal features such as a 1/4" input, stereo 1/4" outputs and an independent headphone output. All of these features are housed in an elegant casing and visualized through MOOER's signature digital LED display - an unbeatable, unified toolkit for traveling guitarists.
