I use this speaker as a mobile DJ and previously owned the V1 and V2 models of the same series. I would have happily given it 5 stars for the sound, but knowing that the first generation of the SRMM 450 V1 had a slightly better and more balanced sound, I feel it deserves 4 stars. It's also significantly lighter. The V3 has a fantastic bass response, and the highs are also pleasant, although the mid-range could be a little more balanced. This gives the sound a slightly "sharp" and non-linear quality at times. The V3 is incredibly durable and produces no distortion even at very high volumes. It's a very reliable piece of technology with absolutely robust and still aesthetically pleasing enclosures. That's why you see Mackie speakers so often with musicians, bands, or DJs. I also used a Bose L1 system before, but I ultimately preferred the Mackie. It has a fuller sound and more detailed highs. The Mackie's bass is also more powerful and goes deeper than a Bose bass package. Overall, I can absolutely recommend the SRM 450 V3; the price-to-performance ratio is excellent.
