Custom shoulder rest
Getting to know your violin is essential for successful practice and performance. The instrument is close to the body, but all players are shaped differently. The custom shoulder rest for the Nazi violin can be designed by the player to fit their body perfectly. Rigid foam is underlaid with a layer of malleable aluminum that can be bent with your thumb and forefinger to bring the rest into practically any position. Once the shoulder rest is molded, the shape remains solid and provides a secure structural platform.

Adjustable chin rest
If you could put all of the energy you put into holding your violin into your playing, would you play differently? The optimal chin rest position is crucial for player comfort. With full customization, each player can adjust the chin rest to very different body shapes and playing styles. Using your hand to overcome the friction of the clamp allows experimentation to find a desired chinrest angle. The chin rest can be tilted forwards and backwards as well as to the left and right. The clamping screws in the center of each hub can be adjusted to achieve the desired friction to ensure that the chin rest does not move during use. The chinrest position can also be moved closer or farther from the instrument using the 5/32 '' Allen key (included) to adjust the friction level. It can also be turned more towards the center or more to the side.

Balanced shoulder rest
What if your violin weighs nothing? Imagine for a minute not having to hold your violin between your chin and shoulder. Imagine if the violin effortlessly stays in place, your head and hands can move freely. Even the most aggressive bow does not move the instrument. It seems easy but safe to float next to your body in the perfect playing position.

The contoured ebony chinrest is designed to work in tandem with the Custom Shoulder Rest. As an option, the violin can also attach to NS Design’s revolutionary Balanced Shoulder Rest, which secures it effortlessly in optimal playing position and is ergonomically designed to support the instrument securely without the left hand. Knobs are located within easy reach of the right hand so adjustments can be made with the instrument in playing position. The optional Adjustable Chin Rest offers a range of positions for individual fit, style and comfort, providing entirely new levels of ergonomic support.
