Neumann MA-1 / Microphone for Monitor Alignment

To announce the new MA 1, an integrated calibration and room correction system based on hardware / software that was specially developed for Neumann studio monitors. The calibration algorithms were developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS), the world's leading institute for audio and media technologies, and ensure optimal monitoring properties in every environment - from the bedroom studio to professional setups from an individually calibrated Neumann measurement microphone and the associated software for Mac / PC. Neumann's Automatic Alignment was specially designed for stereo setups with two KH 80 DSP near-field monitors with or without KH 750 DSP subwoofers or two analog monitors from the KH series that are connected directly to a KH 750 DSP. Unlike conventional correction systems, this is an integrated solution with novel algorithms that were specially developed for Neumann studio monitors. Additional plug-ins or drivers are not required: All alignment data is stored and processed directly in the DSP monitors. As a special feature, the software optimizes not only the amplitude but also the phase response, thus ensuring the highest level of precision in terms of tonality and pulse reproduction. - For stereo setups with two KH 80 DSP near field monitors or two analog monitors of the KH series (without DSP) connected to a KH 750 DSP - Performance improvement of all analog monitors of the KH series when connected to a KH 750 DSP, including optimization of the amplitude and phase response - Measurement microphone included in delivery.
