Design Criteria The NYS-SPP-L1 is an inexpensive, modular 1/4" patch panel in a robust metal housing for mounting in 19" racks (1 rack height unit high). For each of the 48 balanced (TRS, stereo) channels (24 front pairs and 24 corresponding rear pairs), the ground connection can be specified separately or in groups (see details below). For a secure hold, the circuit boards are clamped between the front and rear panels, which ensures easy reconfiguration without losing small individual parts (e.g. nuts). The gray jack socket enables easy-to-recognize Normalling identification. Configuration The default configuration upon delivery is Half Normalled Bottom Row. The configuration can be changed simply by turning the circuit board over. If a jack plug is inserted into the gray socket, the top and bottom rows are isolated from each other. The NYS-SPCR1 module can be used as a solution for send/return applications (see accessories below). The following configurations are possible: Ground connection By attaching the included ground clips to the ground field of the corresponding channel, the ground connection can be set flexibly and separately for each channel. The following variants are possible: - Individual (without ground clip): The ground of the channel (sleeve contact) is only connected to the ground of the corresponding, inserted 1/4'' jack plug. (Standard configuration). - Housing common (1): The relevant ground of the channels (sleeve contacts; top and bottom row) are connected to the ground flat tab by the ground clip and the housing. - Top housing (2): The corresponding upper channel ground (sleve contact) is connected to the ground flat tab via the ground clip and the housing. - Bottom housing (3): The corresponding lower channel ground (sleeve contact) is connected to the ground flat tab via the ground clip and the housing.
