Our latest flagship platform gives you two ways to play: a core onboard sound library created in collaboration with Drum Workshop (DW) and DW Soundworks software for computer-based drumming. And with built-in wireless connectivity and Roland Cloud Connect on your smartphone, you can instantly change up your sound with a growing library of V-Drums Instrument Expansions, Kit Packs, and more.
The flagship TD716 delivers the full expressive power of the V-Drums 7 Series in a modern electronic kit with the expandable V71 module and our latest pads. The PD-14DSX takes our digital snare technology to the next level with even more detailed sensing, a snare throw-off lever, and a snare tension knob. The KD-18-BK kick offers acoustic looks and playability with a full-depth wood shell and an innovative drumhead-mounted sensor. A four-piece tom array includes the PD-10X and PD-12X pads, which feature streamlined profiles and new sensor systems. Rounding out this powerhouse kit are our acclaimed digital hi-hat and ride pads, two 16-inch V-Cymbals, and the MDS-STG2 stand.

Our groundbreaking digital pads communicate with the V71 module at lightning-fast speed, enabling you to coax the subtlest nuances from the most expressive kit components. Advanced multi-sensor trigger systems and innovative hardware details optimize each pad for its role, backed by the module’s powerful DSP for the lowest latency available. And with their satisfying acoustic feel, our famous multi-layer mesh heads remain the best you can get in electronic drumming.
14-inch digital snare.
The PD-14DSX takes our digital snare technology to a new level of acoustic realism and playing comfort. The softest articulations are translated in astonishing detail, and hand position is automatically detected for seamless transitions between headshots, rimshots, and cross-stick playing. A throw-off mechanism turns the snares on or off with the flip of a lever, while a knurled strainer knob lets you dial in snare tension with a twist. The knob also doubles as a push control for easy operation of different module functions.
14-inch digital hi-hats.
The VH-14D is a true game changer, bringing unparalleled touch sensitivity, tonal variation, and open/closed resolution to electronic hi-hats. The top/bottom cymbal design provides a familiar look and feel, while the high-res detection system captures stick articulations and footwork in flawless detail.
18-inch digital ride.
With its standard size, familiar motion, and ultra-detailed response, the CY-18DR will inspire the most expressive ride players. The high-resolution, multi-sensor system detects every stroke from edge to bell for precision dynamics and response. Techniques from cymbal rolls to soft bell strokes are fully translated, and you can mute the bow and bell with a finger touch—just like an acoustic ride.
Reassuring kick feel.
Building a low-noise electronic kick pad with an authentic acoustic playing feel is trickier than it seems. The Roland drum team has spent years working on this challenge to bring you the best-feeling kick pads, no matter the size. Through careful study, detailed analysis methods, and innovative materials and construction, our kick pads deliver that deep, satisfying “thud” every drummer seeks—while also keeping in-room noise in check. The KD-22, KD-18-BK, and KD-12 models in the V-Drums 7 Series kits support single and double pedals and feature our latest textured pad material for outstanding durability. Each pad also includes the KDP-5, a replaceable patch that slows wear and allows you to use a plastic, wood, or felt beater.
