Schaller Megaswitch S 5 Weg

This is the newer Stratocaster standard switch, introduced in the mid-70s. At the time, many guitarists had noticed that the intermediate positions of the old switch could also produce quite interesting sounds with two neighboring pickups switched on at the same time. The switch was then replaced by one with five positions. The assignment of the tone controls remained unchanged. Therefore, both are active in position 4. The Megaswitch S is suitable for this circuit. The wiring is basically the same as for circuit SSS1. In order to achieve hum-free operation, at least in the switch positions 2 and 4, the middle pickup is magneticallypolarized and wound in the opposite direction to the two outer pickups. Here, too, you can assign the two tone controls differently if you wish.
