This device reminds me of the 4-track cassette recorders I used 40 years ago, but they only had 4 recording tracks. The Zoom R4 MultiTrak, of course, is on a completely different level, something we could only dream of back then. It does require a bit of a learning curve, but once you've made your first recording, you're in control. I was particularly impressed by the bounce function and the built-in microphone. And, of course, the 32-bit float function is amazing – no more clipping. This small device is a dream come true for any musician who doesn't need a lot of extra features, but still wants everything integrated, including great effects and drums.
