Der Modwave ist für mich neben dem Wavestate eigentlich das Top Gerät der Serie.
Dass es den als SE Version nicht gibt eigentlich unverständlich.
Ich hatte den Version 1 als 3 Oct Tastatur zuerst.
Als nun die Racks kamen und in MK II wuchs schnell der Wunsch meine beiden Keys auszutauschen. Braucht weniger Platz und beide ( mit Wavestate Module ) kann man auch ins Mixerrack schrauben und hats portable für live dabei. Coole Sache.

Vom Gerät kann man sowiel sagen, der Modwave ist für mich ein sehr spezieller Synth, völlig unterschätzt in meiner Meinung. wenn mehr wüssten was sie da eigentlich vor der Nase hätten, würden mehr ihn kaufen.
Denn neben dem dass er ein Wavetable Synth der superklasse ist, hat er auch ein original 16 Waves Wavetable drin vom DW 8000, in static Version aber auch in der scanable Version.
Mit diesen Wavetables lassen sich alle DW 8000 Sounds soielend leicht nachbilden. Digital ist digital letztlich. Die analogen Filter vom DW 8000 macht der Modwave einfach wett mit seinen Filtern.

Dann wenn man die brachiale Sound Gestaltungs Power des Modwaves mit 5 Lfos und 4 Hüllkurven, dem ganzen Effektpaket auffährt, kommen Sounds die so andere Synths einfach nicht draufhaben.

Für mich ein Highlight des Synthie Himmels.
