- The A8H is the top model of the A series. This 3-way speaker delivers the highest level of resolution and tonal precision - perfect for the most demanding monitoring tasks. The A8H features an 8-inch multi-layer mineral fiber (MLM) woofer, an innovative mid-range driver, and ADAM Audio's hand-crafted X-ART tweeter. Like all models in the A series, the A8H offers innovative features for individual adjustment to personal listening habits and the acoustic environment: This is ensured by a rotatable HPS waveguide and the integrated DSP technology. The A8H is suitable for all conceivable monitoring situations in medium and large rooms. It is the perfect choice when the highest possible fidelity is required. Rotatable HPS waveguide and X-ART tweeter The ADAM Audio HPS (High-Frequency Propagation System) waveguide ensures precisely directed sound guidance with a wide dispersion angle in the horizontal and narrow focusing in the vertical. All A-Series models use the HPS rotatable waveguide design, which allows the tweeter to rotate 90 degrees. The monitor can therefore be used both vertically and horizontally - without having to forego the advantages of the waveguide. The A-Series HPS waveguide is made from a new type of fiberglass polymer material. Its high density minimizes unwanted resonances and supports a clear sound image. The ADAM Audio X-ART tweeter is located in the center of the rotatable HPS waveguide. Handcrafted in Germany, this tweeter guarantees maximum impulse fidelity and richness of detail. All models of the A series are equipped with this X-ART tweeter. Multi-Layer Mineral Woofer The cone of an A-Series woofer consists of multiple layers of mineral fiber material firmly bonded together. This material is characterized by its minimal weight and maximum rigidity. The precise nature has been specially adapted for each speaker model. In combination with the also newly developed magnet system, each woofer from the A series delivers exceptionally high levels with minimal distortion - essential for clean and powerful bass reproduction. Midrange The midrange of the A-Series is based on the widely acclaimed DHC midrange of the S-Series – ADAM Audio's high-end monitors. In the middle frequency range, hearing reacts particularly sensitively to tonal colourations. This is exactly where the new midrange driver ensures exceptionally clean reproduction. In addition, it relieves the woofer of the reproduction of medium frequencies. Both the A77H and the A8H are designed as 3-way systems and are equipped with the A-Series center driver. Hybrid amplification The A-Series combines the best of the digital and analog worlds: the woofers are driven by Class-D amplifiers - optimal for a linear performance and minimal distortion. The power amplifiers used impress with their high efficiency, which goes hand in hand with low heat development. This creates potential for further improvements and even higher performance. Class AB power amplifiers are used for tweeters and midrange drivers. They are known for a particularly neutral reproduction of high frequencies. Each power amplifier is precisely optimized for its frequency range. The selection and composition of the individual components are the result of countless measurements and listening sessions in the ADAM Audio development laboratories. DSP-based electronics Thanks to powerful DSP technology, all A-Series monitors offer significantly improved and more extensive fine-tuning options compared to purely analogue loudspeakers. The firmware can be updated at any time via an Ethernet connection. Thus, A-Series monitors always have ADAM Audio's current DSP features - such as new filter types and "voicings". Adaptation to the room acoustics A 4-band equalizer with the parameters "Bass", "Desk", "Presence" and "Treble" can be found on the back of each A -Series loudspeaker for optimal adaptation to the acoustic environment. Over 100 fine-tuning variants enable adjustment to the most demanding listening environments in seconds.
