They are often favored by both beginners and experienced players for their affordability and performance.

Ich habe die Epiphone SG Prophecy im Austausch gegen eine völlig verpfuschte Ibanez RG631ALF erhalten. Im Grossen und Ganzen ist die Epiphone auch gut. ABER: der Teufel liegt bekanntlich im Detail und kommt erst zum Vorschein, wenn man genauer hinschaut. Der Sattel war um 1 mm zur Seite verschoben. Das konnte ich durch lösen und wieder verkleben des Sattels selber richten. Nach zwei Wochen spielen hat sich nun heraus gestellt, dass der 13. Bund zu hoch ist. Dies löst ein 'Fiepen' bei einem Bending im 12. Bund aus. Somit musste ich die Gitarre nun zu einem Gitarrenbauer bringen, der den 13. Bund abträgt.
Das ernüchternde Fazit: Der Zeit- und Preisdruck scheint Schuld zu sein, dass aus Asien (Indonesien und China zumindest) nur noch ungenügend gefertigte Instrumente kommen. Eine richtige Qualitätskontrolle fehlt!
Sehr schade, bei einem Instrument von fast CHF 1'000.
Dafür kann MusiX nichts aber für mich als Kunden ist das sehr ärgerlich.
