Roland is a world's leading manufacturer of musical instruments, electronic equipment, and software. It was found in 1972 by Ikutaro Kakehashi. Thanks to their wide range of innovative products, Roland won its place on the market and has been able to make a real difference by bringing people and music closer.

Une petite boîte qui envoie grave... Simple et complexe en même temps, intégration facile dans Ableton. Géniale pour jammer avec un musicien genre guitariste. 

MC solaire

Von der Roland MC 101 Groovebox bin ich begeistert. Die Box hat ein 'Immer-dabei'-Format, das ich sehr schätze, die Bedienung ist - bezogen auf den Formfaktor und die vielen Funktionen- sehr gut gelöst, die Sound-Presets sind toll (jedenfalls viele davon) und mit den Einschränkungen (gegenüber der MC-707) kann ich gut leben. Die Einschränkungen sind: 
	• Nur 4 Tracks, doch 4 Tracks dabei haben sind 4 Tracks mehr als die 8 Tracks, die zu hause auf mich warten ..
	• Kein Editieren der Preset-Sounds möglich, das ist wirklich ein Manko. Aber, die dazu nötigen Regler haben auf dem kleinen Gerät keinen Platz mehr und die ausgefeilte Effekt-Sektion hilft, dieses Manko zu überspielen. 
	• Kein Audio-In (nur USB-Audio), das kann je nach dem ein Manko sein, aber da die beiden Roland Grooveboxen keine Sampling-Meister sind (insgesamt nur wenige Minuten Sample-Zeit), spielt das keine so grosse Rolle.
	• Die Pads sind sicher kein Highlight, aber um unterwegs eine Melodie oder ein Drum Pattern einzugeben reicht es allemal und zu hause schliesst man einfach das Midikeyboard an.

Kurz, wenn die Gerätemobilität wichtig ist und die genannten Einschränkungen nicht so wichtig sind, ist die MC-101 Box sehr zu empfehlen.

Vielseitiges Instrument für unterwegs und zu hause

Bin noch nicht bis zum Boden durchgedrungen. Aber was ich bisher entdeckt und benutzt habe, macht mächtig Spass!
Für Leute, welche sich Ableton gewohnt sind, ist das User Interface sehr intuitiv. 
Wenn ich zu faul zum Starten des Compis bin, starte ich einfach den MC-707 und schliesse ein MIDI Keyboard an und spiele einen der unzähligen Sounds. 
Den Sample-Teil habe ich noch nicht mal gross benutzt.... Da ist ja auch einiges möglich.
