I always use it to record music (acoustical and electric instruments and voice), paired with the Shure SM7B , and the sound coming out of it is a dream. The sound of the mic itself is of course very good , but paired with this FetHead it becomes much more powerful and dynamic, still tough retaining that broadcast mic compression that you expect from the SM7B. The combo has become my goto in 90% of application.

Jeden Cent wert

utilisé avec une interface TASCAM US-2x2HR et un enregistreur TASCAM DR-60D.
absolument génial sur des anciens micros Siemens/AKG des années 60 qui sans le FetHead ne sont quasiment pas utilisables sur de la voix sans être à fond sur les gains avec pleins de bruits numériques.
Aucun bruit de fond perceptible. Le transformateur donne une coloration très agréable sur les voix, à tester sur plein de micros dynamiques différents.
Construction très rigide et étui tout simple, pratique à transporter pour des prises de son à l'extérieur.

Funktiniert einwandfrei und ist sehr praktisch, weil es so klein ist. Man merkt es gar nicht. Ich verwende es für ein Bändchenmikrofon ohne teueren Vorverstärker mit meinem budget Audiointerface. (Steinberg ur242).

Macht was es verspricht

Mein Shure Mik. SM7B schnurrt mit dem Pre-amp von Fethead wie ein Kätzchen👍🏻

Excellent preamp, très transparent et amène un boost indispensable pour brancher un micro dynamique très gourmand en gain (genre le SM7B) dans une interface audio peu puissante.

Petit mais costaud

Très efficace! Plus l'impédence du préamplificateur est élevée plus le boost est radical. Un must pour micros dynamiques et rubans qui ont un faible niveau. Je peux maintenant utiliser mon Sennheiser 441 avec mon vieux préampificateur à tube sans le moindre souffle incroyable!
Cela permet d'étendre largement les applications possible avec ce genre de micros...L'essayer c'est l'adopter ;-)

Hat die niedrige Impendanz von meinem Røde NTG2 super gepusht, sodass ich es jetzt problemlos mit dem Zoom H4n verwenden kann. Echt ein riesen Unterschied!

Super mit Røde NTG2

Es ist mein zweiter Tritonaudio FetHead regular, den ich im Studio mit meinem trafolosen, modifizierten SM57 benutze. Auch mit meinem Bändchen Mics funktioniert der Fethead super. Ich denke, dass vor allem bei Vintage dynamischen Mics der Fethead seine Klasse ausspielen lässt. Irgendwie tönen bei dessen Verwendung die Höhen seidiger, die Mitten runder und der Bass fokussierter. In Kombination mit einem SM7b ein Muss!
