Pioneering audio recording for more than 60 years.

Founded in 1958 by Bill Putnam Sr., Universal Audio has been synonymous with innovative recording products since its inception. A favorite engineer of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ray Charles and more, the late Bill Putnam Sr. was a passionate innovator who is widely regarded as the father of modern recording — with many of his legendary studio and equipment designs still in use today.

Specifically, Putnam was the inventor of the modern recording console, the multi-band audio equalizer, and the vocal booth, and he was the first engineer to use artificial reverberation in commercial recording. Alongside his friend Les Paul, Putnam was also involved in the early development of stereophonic recording.

Putnam, a natural entrepreneur, started three audio product companies during his long career: Universal Audio, Studio Electronics, and UREI. All three companies built equipment that remains widely used decades after their introduction, including the ubiquitous LA-2A and 1176 compressors, and the 610 tube recording console. The 610 console in particular stands as one of the most beloved designs in audio history, used to record everyone from Sinatra to the Beach Boys to Van Halen’s eponymous debut.

Der eingebaute Kompressor und die Vintagefunktion sind die Kirsche auf der Torte!

Top, je cherchais une meilleure interface audio pour pouvoir y brancher un micro et écouter de la musique sur mes hauts-parleurs. ça rempli parfaitement ces besoins !

J'ai du m'acheter une carte sons pour des mesures acoustiques en déplacement.
cette interface est très optimales en plus j'ai eut des plugins offert.
je l'utilise avec une tablette et c'est juste parfait pour tout placer dans une petite mallette.

je la recommande, pour les gens qui ont besoins du minimum pour la qualité !

Das Gerät wurde wenige Tage nach der Bestellung geliefert. Ich wollte es natürlich sofort aufprobieren ohne lange eine Bedienungsanleitung zu lesen. Einstecken - Gerät läuft.
Diverse YouTube-Videos helfen einem die Möglichkeiten des Geräts kennen zu lernen. 
Die mitgelieferte Software habe ich noch nicht vollständig geladen. Ich freue mich aber darauf, meine Kenntnisse in den neuen Bereichen zu erweitern.

Aufwertung meines kleinen Studios

Ist meine erstes Unit, einfach zu bedienen. 
Vintage Code find ich sehr gut, gibt so einen warmen Sound für E-Gitarre.

Veramente ottima,ho  l apollo twin uad  che costa 7 volte di piú ma questa basta e avanza le differenze sono ridicole e questa funziona con ipad  etc 
si puo filmare con un sound eccezzionale se si posseggono microfoni di qualitá, ho provato con neumann da sudio e il risultato é ottimo,magari per editare si puo trasferire la traccia su un mac.
Basta con le registrazioni amatoriali di you tube  .

Marek half mir bei der Wahl wie immer bestens, en grosse Dank an Marek !
Die Soundbar am PC war kaputt, so suchte ich endlich einen viel besseren Ausweg und ging auf Studiolautsprecher. Als Interface wollte ich digital bleiben und ging über USB mit dem Volt 476, und das tönt nun endlich ganz super.
Sehr gute Komponenten !
