I use this foot controller with a Boss Mk II Katana 100W head. It adds significant flexibility to the Katana as it means the user can foot-select more presets. These are accessible in two banks. It's also possible with a long-press of the foot to enter the patch preset and turn individual effects within it or or off. It also means you can run in expression pedals to the foot controller on short cables. The unit's solidly constructed and it comes with an adequately long TRS cable (3m, I think) to connect it to the Katana. The foot controller is decent value, but could be improved in two ways. First, I have a Boss FV-30H volume pedal and, although the foot controller has a dedicated port for such a pedal, it simply does not work properly. The FV-30H works fine on my pedal board but not with this foot controller. The Boss support people were nice when I contacted them but ultimately had no answers. Fortunately I have the EV-30 expression pedal and that does the trick for volume. Second (and this is something really directed at the Katana series in general) it would be super to have a guitar tuner function built in or accessible from the foot controller. At present the Katana series of amps doesn't have a built in tuner, and that would be a logical step for the Mark III series and GA-FC. I use a TC electronic tuner pedal between my guitar and the amp, but it's just one more thing to lug to practice and gigs. Hope you're listening, Boss!

First off : Musix is the best website for musicians in Switzerland, no doubt about it. The delivery was quick and impeccable and all the service provided by the people working there was excellent. Very helpful and professional people. This is a little tool that is easily forgotten but in terms of features it really expends the possibilities of your Boss amp. I used it with the Katana Artist Mk-II recently and it really isn't a cheap, gimmicky gadget (if you have any doubt it might be). The price is quite high for a little controller like this but the build quality is excellent. I previously owned a Boss Katana amp without this foot controller, and now that I tried it I would say it is mandatory to get it in order to get the maximum out of a Boss amp. Good investment.
