After playing the guitar for nearly 50 years I have now been using a thicker plectrum than I have ever used to play with. For perhaps 25 years I strictly strummed with orange Dunlop Tortex 60mm's on both my acoustic and electric guitars. Hoping to teach this old dog a new trick, I first tried the 73mm Primetone Sculpted Standard and liked what it added to my sound and playability, and thought to myself, why not go thicker and see how that sounds and feels. Well, it has worked out really nicely. I seem to be able to play faster, louder if need be and without as much 'clack' sound as it hits the strings (after all, the guitar can be classifiehd as a percussion instrument, much the same as the piano). These Primetones seem pretty tough. They seem not to wear very much, and as well are not slippery and tend to stay on your fingers. The only fault that I can say about them is that they are WAY too expensive to buy one at a time as MusiX sells them. If they were in packs of 5 and priced accordingly it would be a bit more buyer friendly.
