The coated Standard Tom Pack (12'', 13'', 16'') EC2 two-ply drumheads with Edge Control Technology from Evans offer a pre-EQ sound using a dampening process that ensures optimal performance for each individual drumhead size. The transparent EC2 series from Evans offers two layers of 7 mil film, optimized for attack, tone, sustain length and easy tuning of different sized heads. The Sound Shaping Technology (SST) Edge Control Ring on the underside delivers an extremely balanced pre-EQ sound across the entire kit, as the ring size is matched to the different head sizes.

Very easy to tune. Full sound, which works perfectly with a rock setup.
Of all the drum heads I've tried, these are the ones that work best for me. They provide a clear, powerful sound without producing too many overtones, but with a nice resonance in the tom (used for the 12-inch tom and the 14-inch Goliath).
