Our popular Slim “C” neck now sports smooth rolled fingerboard edges, a “Super-Natural” satin finish and a newly sculpted neck heel for a supremely comfortable feel and easy access to the upper register. V-MOD II PICKUPS
V-Mod II jazz bass pickups are specially designed for their position in the instrument, are lightly wrapped and produce a crisp, present tone. At the same time, they give the sound transparency and the coveted vintage warmth.
NEWLY SHAPED NECK HEEL
The base of the neck is rounded, the neck plate is flattened. This allows the gripping hand to comfortably reach the highest positions - important when playing solo.
HIMASS ™ VINTAGE BRIDGE
Optionally as topload or string-through: This precisely made bridge with chrome-plated brass saddles enables a nice sustain and improves the attack. The cold-rolled steel plate and a high-mass backstop made of brass give the sound a solid, resonant foundation.
SLIM C-NECK PROFILE WITH ROUNDED EDGES
The neck in the slim C-profile with a 9.5 ”fingerboard radius, hand-rounded fingerboard edges and a silky super-natural finish offers outstanding playing comfort.
ALDER OR ROASTED PINE
This bass is available in alder or roasted pine (only in certain colors). Alder is a classic Fender tonewood with a balanced resonance behavior that fits almost every music genre. Like all pine woods, roasted pine is pleasantly light and supports a powerful, lively tone - our special heat treatment additionally strengthens these positive properties.
POSIFLEX ™ GRAPHITE ROD
All American Professional basses have a Posiflex graphite stick under the fingerboard. This stabilizes the neck and prevents it from moving due to temperature fluctuations. A real plus in reliability on tour, but also at home and in the studio.

Classic J Bass, top quality, for the Professional II model Fender may have considered some higher end pickups. However, the included pickups perform well and give nice warm sound. Good adjustability, you will need to adjust truss rod and bridge settings until you get your personal ideal sound. Do not expect factory settings to be ideal for the sound you want. Very smooth feel when playing for both beginners and advanced experts (so I am told, as I belong to the former group).
