Founded in the 1940's by Clarence Leo Fender, Fender Electric Instrument Manufacturing Company is one of the best known brands in the world of electric guitars, basses, amplifiers and electric pianos. Fender continued to innovate in these areas and built legendary models such as the Telecaster and Stratocaster for the guitar and the Rhodes for the electric piano.

The result is tubeless Deluxe Reverb tone, volume and dynamics virtually indistinguishable from the all-tube original. And with all these features, the Tone Master Deluxe Reverb is in fact about only half the weight of an all-tube Deluxe.

Front panel features give guitarists a playing experience identical to the tube version, including Fender’s world-standard reverb and tremolo effects. Additional rear-panel features deliver modern convenience and flexibility—including an output power selector for full power and five attenuated settings, balanced XLR line output with impulse response (IR) cabinet simulations, mute switch for silent stage or recording use, USB port for firmware upgrades, and more.

Habe einen teuren Röhrenverstärker inkl. Vorverstärker und Effekt-Rack durch den Fender Tone Master ersetzt und vermisse gar nichts. Grossartig.

Grossartiger Verstärker

In my search for a classic Fender Deluxe sound, I came across information about this amplifier. I didn't want to buy another tube amplifier, primarily for home use. The "attenuator" allows me to adjust the amplifier for daytime and weekday use. The amplifier delivers a sound that is exactly what I was looking for – a clean Fender sound. Even without an FX loop, the delay effect is remarkably good. All the other modern features are an added bonus compared to tube amplifiers.

Auf der Suche nach typischen Fender Deluxe Sound bin ich über Berichte auf diesen Verstärker gestolpert. Ich wollte mir, für die hauptsächliche Nutzung daheim, keinen weiteren Röhrenamp kaufen. Durch den 'Attenuator' kann ich den Verstärker zur Tageszeit und Wochentag Betrieb anpassen. Der Amp liefert mir zufriedenstellend, was ich gesucht habe. Ein schöner Fender Clean Sound. Auch ohne FX-Loop ist die Annahme vom Delay-Pedal sensationell gut. Alle weiteren moderne Features sind ein Plus dazu, verglichen zur Röhren-Modell.

Toller Amp

Excellent sound quality. Easy to use. Extremely lightweight at 10 kg. Works very well with pedals. I am more than satisfied. The attenuator is very easy to use. The two line-out microphone simulations are also excellent. For me, the line-out is a game-changer! No need for microphones or settings – just plug it in and start playing. This allows you to play the amp completely silently. Simply connect headphones to the audio interface, switch the amp to standby, and let's rock.

Complete satisfaction

Super Sound. Einfache Bedienung. Extrem leicht 10 kg. Verträgt Pedale sehr gut. Ich bin mehr als zufrieden. Attenuator super einzusetzen. Ebenso die 2 Lineout Microsimulationen. Der Gamechanger für mich: Line-Out! Keine Mikros, keine Settings - einfach einstöpseln und los gehts. Damit lässt sich der Amp auch völlig lautlos spielen. Einfach die Kopföhrer an das Audio Interface anschliessen, Standby am Amp und let's Rock.

Volle Zufriedenheit

Guys, this is a game-changer! Comparing it to the original valve Deluxe, I find that 90% of its features are present, and I actually prefer the sound/tonality of this one. The Deluxe needs to be cranked up to 4-5 to bring out its full potential, but then it becomes very loud! The ability to lower the overall volume with an attenuator in the back is a real advantage. However, if you drive the amp past 6, the sound starts to lose clarity. Therefore, I would highly recommend this amp for country twang players (Brent Mason fans!) and blues players; this amp is just paradise. If you're a Rammstein fan, try something else. The reverb is nice, but it's not usable past 1, as it's too much. The vibrato is fine. The XLR direct out with amp simulation works well. Plus, it's so light that you can literally lift it with your little finger; touring musicians will appreciate this. Go for it!

Fender Tonemaster Deluxe

Da ich für meine Band einen guten cleanen Verstärker mit viel Leistung brauchte und ich es satt hatte bei meinem alten Röhrenamp dauernd diese zu wechseln, habe ich mich für den Twin Reverb Tone Master entschieden. Erstaunlich wie es Fender geschafft hat, den Klang des alten Röhrenmonsters digital nachzubilden. Auch liebe ich die Möglichkeit, die Leistung herunterzuschrauben und trotzdem mit hohem Gain zu fahren, da wir oft nicht so laut spielen wollen. Das konnte man beim Original nicht, da musste man immer laut spielen um den guten Klang zu haben.
Ich habe den Verstärker jetzt 2 Monate und bin immer noch zufrieden.

Röhren-Feeling mit halbem Gewicht

Pourquoi 5 étoiles partout !? Eh bien parce qu'il faut comparer ce qui est comparable. Soyons clair d'entrée de jeu, un ampli à modélisation ne sera jamais la réplique identique de son modèle à lampes ! Mais est-ce que cela veut dire qu'il sera pas bon, ou moins bon ? Tout dépend de ce qu'on cherche en achetant un ampli comme le Tone Master Reberb Deluxe.
Pour ma part, je voulais un très bon ampli qui soit léger, sans être tout petit. Un ampli qui sonne super bien sans pour autant avoir à entretenir 7 à 8 lampes quand même assez coûteuses à terme, sans tenir compte des problèmes qui surviennent de temps à autre avec les amplis à lampes, et sans parler de leur relative fragilité aux chocs de toutes natures.
Je précise encore que j'ai une préférence pour les amplis aux très bons sons clairs (comme un Palmer Drei ou un Koch Jupiter). Question Crunch, Overdive et autre Disto, mes 8 pédales dédiées s'occupent très bien de ça, avec les sons qui m'intéressent. Alors vous aurez compris, cet ampli est surtout un ampli à sons clairs très 'Fenderiens' de grand qualité. Les modélisations sont vraiment récentes et au top. Pour comparaison, j'ai eu un Roland Blues Stage déjà très bon, mais là c'est encore un cran au-dessus.

Pour ces exigences ce Tone Master est ce qui se fait de mieux:
- 10.5 kg, facile à transporter sans risques pour les lampes.
- Dimensions de 61x43x24 cm laissant le HP de 12' respirer, et espacement confortables des commandes en façade.
- Et aussi un 12' à aimant Neodyne, bien plus léger qu'un aimant céramique, ou même Alnico.

Et pourquoi la version 'Blonde' plutôt que la version normale noire ? 2 raisons principalement:
1. J'ai toujours eu une préférence pour les 12' Celestion, et ce 12' NEO (aimant Neodyne) me convient parfaitement. Le rendu d'un HP de 12' dépend d'un tas de facteurs, genre quelle guitare est utilisée, avec quels micros, avec quelles pédales, et bien d'autres encore. Perso ce HP 12' convient très bien à mes goûts et réglages.
2. En version 'Blonde' je trouve le look du Vinyle Blond et son tissu de grille Oxblood  (brun-rouge foncé) super beau !

Il faut saluer aussi l'option prise de réaliser le menuiserie du caisson en pin, ce qui apporte légèreté et belle raisonnance, comme ce fut le cas des bons amplis à une certaine époque. En plus la construction globale de cet ampli est vraiment très bonne (en tous cas pour mon exemplaire). Tout fonctionne parfaitement, les boutons sont bien installés, ni trop durs ni trop mous. Franchement je ne vois pas où j'aurais pu enlever une étoile.

Questions sons, c'est modélisé de manière excellente, assez proche du modèle à lampes d’origine, et c'est très puissant ! Inutile de pousser à fond, sauf si on veut faire cruncher la bête. Et c'est là qu'il devient très utile, cet étrange bouton rotatif à l'arrière, celui qui permet de diminuer la puissance, de 0.2 à 22 watts en 6 paliers. En effet, pousser le volume à fond et jouer avec de bouton rotatif permettra d'obtenir le son saturé propre au Deluxe Reverb, et ce que ce soit chez vous le soir, la journée, en répète ou en concert. Car cet ampli délivre tout de même 100 watts en classe D, ce qui correspond en gros à un 22 watts à lampes ! Et là gare aux tympans dans un petit local.
Quand à la Reverb, jusqu'à mi-course, c'est franchement pas mal, très typique Fender. Mais j'utilise aussi une très bonne pédale Reverb que je préfère pour certaines occasions. Pour le vibrato il en est de même. On retrouve le rendu du Deluxe Reverb d'origine, presque aussi bien, mais il faut pas trop pousser l'intensité.

Pour ce qui est des 2 x 2 entrées Normal et Vibrato, j'ai noté une légère différence de rendu entre ces 2 canaux clean, et du coup ça offre encore plus de possibilités sonores.

Alors, ces Tone Master Deluxe Reverb, Blonde ou normal noir, valent-ils 1000.- ou 960.- ? C'est un débat qui n'a pas de réponse universelle. Si on compare avec les Roland Blues Stage ou Artist, moins puissant et plus anciens, la différence de prix n'est pas significatives, mais la qualité sonore clean oui, pour moi vraiment meilleure. Que se soit avec des Tele avec des single, des humbucker, ou un mix des deux, ou encore avec une PRS S2 Vela, ou une Gibson Les Paul équipée de micros SC250 PRS, c'est toujours très bon. Vraiment content de cette découverte au sons clean de qualité.
Alors c'est un investissement que je ne regrette pas, car j'ai enfin trouvé ce que je cherchais. 

Un excellent ampli puissant, dédié sons clean

In comparison to the Deluxe 65 reissue, the sound is 90% identical. You definitely get the feeling of playing a genuine Fender tube amp. The biggest advantage over the original is the ability to bring the volume to breakup point (typically 4-5), without the enormous volume of the original, as there is a volume attenuator at the back (not a master volume). However, with volume settings above 6, the amp loses clarity, and the bass sound becomes somewhat muddy. Therefore, it's a wonderful amp for country and blues legends, but not for Ramstein. The EQ is OK. The reverb is too prominent, a significant difference from the original, and settings above 2 are unusable. The vibrato is OK. The DI out is not really useful and cannot replace a good microphone. Finally, it's a lightweight! This will be appreciated by touring musicians. No need for tube replacements either. In summary: good value for money.

Fender Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb

Für das was man den Deluxe Reverb kauft ist natürlich Reverb und das ist bei Ihm sehr gut. Man bekommt das gefühl in einer riesigen Halle zu spielen obwohl es nur das eigene Wohnzimmer ist. Auch alle anderen Features sind sehr zufriedenstellend.

Top Produkt

Tolles identisches Spielgefühl wie bei Röhren-Amps. Die Vinylverkleidung wirkt leider etwas zu plastifiziert.
Der XLR-Ausgang tönt sehr gut.

Toller, vor allem auch sehr leichter Amp.

Un son sublime. Ayant joué sur le modèle à lampes, le son est identique. 
Pouvoir adapté la puissance de l'ampli, que ce soit pour jouer en appartement ou dans un local de répétition ou encore en concert est vraiment génial!!!
Le fait de pouvoir couper le son en façade pour enregistrer est très confortable.
Et le prix!?!?!?! 
J'en ai acheté des choses chez Musix... Mais le Fender Tone Master Twin Reverb est de loin mon meilleur achat.
J'ai enfin trouver le son parfait! Je suis un guitariste heureux!!!

Im A-B Vergleich mit dem Deluxe 65 Reissue ist der Sound 90% gleich. Man hat auf jeden Fall das Gefühl, mit einem richtigen Fender Tube Amp zu spielen. Der ganz grosse Vorteil gegenüber dem Original ist natürlich die Möglichkeit, den Volume auf Breakup Point zu bringen (typisch 4-5), ohne die gewaltige Lautstärke vom Original, da hinten ein Volume Attenuator iiegt (wirklich Attenuator nicht Mastervolume). Mit Volume Einstellungen ab 6 verliert jedoch der Amp an Klarheit, Bässe wirken etwas verwaschen.  Also ein wundervoller Amp für Country &amp; Blues Helden, nichts für Rammsteiner. EQ is OK. Reverb ist viel zu prominent, ein Unterschied mit dem Original, Einstellungen über 2 sind nicht brauchbar. Vibrato OK. DI Out nicht wirklich brauchbar, kann ein gutes Mikro nicht ersetzen. Last but not least, ein Leichtgwicht! Da werden sich gigging Musiker freuen! Auch kein Rörhrenwechsel mehr nötig. Zusammenfassung: good value for money.
