Laney was founded in 1967 by Lyndon Laney near Birmingham. He had played in a band together with Robert Plant & John Bonham. At that time, there were no amplifiers that were loud enough, so Lyndon decided to develop and build his own amplifiers. Word quickly spread and demand was high.
