Fits in an IKEA IVAR shelf pretty much exactly, and looks very cool. Can't comment on how sturdy or portable it is, because it just sits there, stuck in my IVAR shelf. You can cram a couple more Guitars than advertised if you're a bit careful (or don't care about the finish on your axes too much), up to a maximum of 7 (no guarantees there). Be the envy of your guitar-playing pals with this thing! My buddy came to visit and said 'You're the first guy ever I'm saying this to, but dude, I really like your rack!'.
