Active studio monitor, bi-amplified, 2-way, 95 watts (6.5 ").

This set is composed of the following parts

The combination of screws with a specially developed mounting ring eliminates disruptive vibrations and resonances, allowing the loudspeaker to develop its full sonic potential. A magnet specially selected for this series increases the performance in the low-frequency range and ensures an accurate, powerful low-end. The tweeter chassis with their precisely manufactured "Smooth-Contour" construction without annoying corners or edges ensure a minimization of losses in the sound radiation and in this way for a detailed, remarkably accurate high-frequency reproduction. The tweeter chassis was also made very solid, which counteracts the tendency to resonance, which can have a negative effect on the purity of the high frequencies. The advantages of active monitors with separate output stages ("bi-amplification") Active monitor boxes, each with two power amplifiers, simply make the most sense in terms of both circuitry and sound. This is why active systems with bi-amplification technology for near and midfield monitoring are the first choice for professional sound engineers around the world. In addition to the technical advantages, there is no need for a separate external power amplifier. Because the power amplifier and loudspeaker are permanently wired inside the speaker housing, the amplifiers can be perfectly adapted to the characteristics of the loudspeakers, so that consistently outstanding performance is guaranteed regardless of the signal source and the environment. "Bi-Amplification" means that two independent power amplifiers each individually supply the woofer and the tweeter. This prevents unwanted interactions between the loudspeakers and eliminates phase and frequency problems caused by passive crossovers. Due to their optimal power output, both speaker systems together achieve a correspondingly very high sound quality. Big magnets in sophisticated electromagnetic circuits An important feature of HS monitors is you can hear but not see. We mean the extra large magnets used inside. In combination with the highly developed electromagnetic circuits of the loudspeakers, these permanent magnets deliver a powerful, even and solid magnetic field and thus ensure an exceptionally even reproduction with the highest possible dynamics over the entire frequency range. Transportable and flexible monitoring for your audio workstation All you really need for top stereo production is a good audio workstation and a pair of HS series monitors. Such a system is not only transportable and very easy to set up, it also enables precise monitoring for a successful mix. The "Response Control" function of the HS50, which is shown here in the example, made it possible to adjust the frequency response for optimal playback, regardless of where the system is. Professional surround production Although 2-channel stereo is still the predominant format in music production, the 5.1 surround audio format has become not only the first choice for big films, but also the great-sounding draft horse for pure music enjoyment. But to mix the surround correctly, you need a good 5.1 monitor system. The loudspeakers of the HS series plus HS subwoofers are recommended for such setups, because they are absolutely competitive even in the 5.1 system without costing as much as a small car. If you combine five active HS50 or HS80 near-field monitors with one or more HS10W subwoofers, you are adequately equipped to produce a professional "State Of The Art" surround sound. Optimal reproduction in every room The frequency response of the signal that reaches your ear from the loudspeaker depends heavily on the size and shape of the room, the nature of the surface of its walls, and how the speakers are positioned. The HS50M and HS80M systems have a special room adjustment thanks to the ROOM-CONTROL, MID EQ and HIGH TRIM switches and can therefore be set up very flexibly in the room. In this way, acoustic problems in the room are compensated and in this way optimized listening is made possible. The ROOM CONTROL switch, for example, can counteract the problematic bass boost caused by the pressure build-up effect that occurs when the speakers are placed on walls or in corners. The MID-EQ switch can either slightly boost or cut the mids of the signal, while the HIGH-TRIM switch processes the high frequencies in the same way.

Good frequency response. Suited for all purpose mixing. Build quality is OK (other monitors at this price range could be better or worse). For the price, I would use these over the Rockit monitors. Presonus also would be an option although I found they were better for Orchestral music as each instrument section is generally more present.
