Description
The AE-4D is an exquisite AES/EBU converter that converts up to four AES/EBU signals into four Dante audio channels and vice versa. It has sampling rate converters on the input side, supports resolutions up to 96kHz/24bit and uses balanced XLR sockets for the AES/EBU inputs and outputs. The DSP functions of this model are limited to faders and muting for inputs and outputs.
The AE-4D is part of the "Dante Compact Processor Series" from Tascam, which includes various compact audio converters with half the rack width for Dante / AES67 networks. The models easily add additional inputs and outputs for microphone / line or AES / EBU signals to Dante audio networks in public facilities, radio stations, recording studios or exclusive residential environments and can be combined as required.
Two different software applications for macOS, Windows, iOS and Android are available for remote control: Tascam DCP Connect for configuration and Tascam EZ Connect for end users. Both are easy to use and included.
All models can be powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet) or an optional AC adapter. With two devices mounted side by side in a rack, the power supply can be looped through to the second device so that only one AC adapter is required.
